Bean: Crap... you know I forgot to set that reminder.
My name is Bean and this is my blog. Hence the name. If you have comments or questions, just leave them in the comments area.
Stef and I have been busy getting decorations out and up. The basement is starting to take shape... slowly but surely. It'll be time for Hallobean 8 in only 10 days! Head to Hallobean.org for details. Anyway, as I was digging through a crate of spiders and skulls, I suddenly remembered that I had a blog, and decided to round out the Hallobean trilogy and BLOG MORE BLOGS.
HB6 had a pretty big turnout, partly due to the fact that John (contanister) and Terri brought a pretty big crowd of friends along to the party. It was planned as a joint party, and they helped out a lot in the preparation for and execution of Hallobean. I don't think I put too much time or effort into prop-building that year, but the big crowd and varied costumary (pronounced cost-UME-errie) made for a fun evening. I think. I don't really remember. Check out the Hallobean 6 pics for details.
HB7 brought with it a whole slew of new props. I built the big Hallobean Face and hung it on the front of the house. I also put together a couple pneumatic props. One was a rat monster thing that shot out from behind some hay bales, and the other was a pop-up ghost that I put next to my front door. They were both motion triggered and had strobes and sounds accompanying the movement. The rat was eventually taken out of commission, but the pop-up ghost and face will be back this year. The beer flowed freely, the pong balls flew, and the sweet sounds of Karaoke filled the air. Here are the Hallobean 7 pics.
