A Suede Milestone
Posted August 21, 2006 at 08:28:59 AM by Bean
Over the weekend, Stef and I ordered a brand new micro-suede sectional for our living room. I'm not sure about Stef, but this is the first major piece of furniture that I have ever purchased - and DAMN, I know why. Close to 2k in the end, including tax and delivery. Every other couch that I've owned has been at least a hand-me-down, if not a 3rd or 4th generation hand-me-down, ie finjering FREE.

This of course means that some of our current furniture will be moved into the basement, which has become a graveyard of abandoned couches, love seats, and recliners. Unfortunately, the graveyard is full. Anybody up for a good old fashioned couch burnin'?

Gave away a couch yesterday to one of teh wif's cousin's that's going to college. Gave one to SIL last year to take to college.

Both couches I gave away were heavily used by me and came to me in used format for free.

The only furniture I've purchased to date is a complete bedroom suit, (including oral/bed). I don't remember what that cost all together, but I'm sure it was over $3k.

I paid $1k for my living rooms suit: couch, love seat, coffee table, 2 end tables, 2 lamps. it's lasted me 6 years. TP wins.
