Great episode, short Beanblog recap:
The Part About Michael
Even though the flashbacks were about Ana, the main story line was about Michael. He gets "found" by Jack and Kate and goes on about how weak the others are and how they should whip their asses. When everyone runs off to get the guns from Sawyer, Michael gets Ana's, kills her (I think), accidentally kills Libby (I think), and then shoots himself in the arm as he lets Henry go. Seems to me that the others probably told him "bring back Henry and you can have Walt" or something in that direction.
Libby, I Barely Knew Ya!
The whole episode, there's this cutesy wootsy flirting between Hurley and Libby. In the end, when Libby bites it, I bet it's gonna send old Hurley dude into some serious depression/tailspin/etc.
By not killing Henry, she found some kind of redemption. Next thing you know: dead. Sure seems like a pattern to me. So how could "redemption" and the whole "good people/bad people" deal come together to have some meaning for this show?
I believe Locke was planning to let Henry out - which is why he covered for Ana's head wound (so as to not anger Jack, et al, more). He's comes clean when he realizes Ana has the gun, but it too late, and he knows it.
Great episode. Special guest mothereffer joined us for his first "live" show. Oh yeah, and what th eff was up with the Hanso commercial?! Yeah, click it - lot's of new stuff there. Sorry - no cool thread links tonight. Thefuselage.com is overloaded and I can't get in.

celeb (May 04, 2006 at 08:03:03 AM):
what's the deal with the dude that ana lucia went to australia with? Is he an other?
bean (May 04, 2006 at 08:24:18 AM):
Karyn - yes... pretty cool. I'm guessing this is the start of their summer "game" that I've heard about. Caleb - that was Jack's father.

"I think the biggest piece of news is the Paik Industries being part of Widmore/Dharma......" from thefuselage. Looks like Sun's pop is involved.
conley1 (May 04, 2006 at 08:43:40 AM):
ah, a connection to the asian guy in the film...
how about how jack's dad wants to see his daughter -- wonder if jack knows he has a sister?
bean (May 04, 2006 at 08:55:33 AM):
wonder if his sister is claire.
Holy crap - lots of stuff is going to be involved in the lost experience. I may have to sit it out, else I wont get anythign done.
conley1 (May 04, 2006 at 12:13:35 PM):
I thought that too, about the sister... it was kind of glossed over, and with Ana-Lucia gone now, that connection will probably never be made...
I heard that the Lost Experience had three release dates -- one in Australia, one in the UK, and then last night in the US... the write-up I read said that cooperation between users in all parts will be necessary to fully do the game, which has clues that are released during the episodes...
corbin (May 04, 2006 at 06:13:41 PM):
i think the episode would have benefitted greatly by showing AL's boobs. good ep, surprising end. surprising sawyer doink too. you didn't mention that!
corbin (May 04, 2006 at 06:21:03 PM):
was there a preview for next week? can't find it on the interweb
bean (May 04, 2006 at 10:09:38 PM):
yeah - I'll find em in the mornin. The Ana boink was nice... and the whole Ana and Jack's dad thing was weird, especially when Sawyer made a cameo. Seems like an awful lot of the Losties were just in Australia for a short visit... in fact, all of them but Claire from what I can remember. Hmm.
Jewfish (May 08, 2006 at 01:02:10 PM):
I'll be very sad if we never find out why Libby was following Hurley around. I guess "she was just crazy" is a valid answer, but I don't think it's a good one.
My guess is Ana is dead but Libby's not. Ana's story has been resolved, but Libby's has not. It seems like the pattern so far is that people don't die off unless their story has been told.
corbin (May 08, 2006 at 01:08:08 PM):
jewfish johnson is right. however, that would be an odd number of people that have been wounded very badly and/or needed bigtim medical attention and survived with nothing but a doctor and some advil they found on the plane...of course if the island healed locke and rose, who is to say it isn't playing a hand with this crap too...
celeb (May 09, 2006 at 07:44:21 AM):
If they're not both dead, that would mean that they could tell on Walt, right? I would think he would finish pranking them in the face before shooting himself.
corbin (May 09, 2006 at 08:07:40 AM):
you mean michael? i'm sure they'll both be incapacitated for some time, even if they're not dead.
bean (May 09, 2006 at 08:49:44 AM):
Yeah - Ana is dead for sure. Her story is over. Too bad. I think Libby will be in limbo for a few eps like Boone was, she'll come clean with Hurley, then die.
Brad (May 09, 2006 at 03:38:17 PM):
If by come clean you mean ride Hurley like a fat ass rodeo Bull, then I agree. I agree that Ana is dead and Libby is not, however, if I know LOST then I am kind of expecting the opposite.
