Fizzle to tha AT

I swear to god, I must have eaten 5 pounds of food last night between the hours of 6 and 9pm. And it's not like there was some party going on or anything... I just ate leftovers, junk, cookies, and a grapefruit while watching CABLE. Seems like the same thing happens every Sunday for me, leading up to a full, fat, and bloated feeling all day Monday.
So, like many people, I'll be resolving to eat less food in 2006. And my twost resolution will be to start this new deal today, rather than gorging myself for the next two weeks. I eat fine through the day... usually a small breakfast, normal lunch, and normal dinner. But it's the post-dinner time that kills me. Desert, snack, more desert, more snacks, then a little something before bed, and hell, one more desert. NO MORE. Food will be strictly vorboten after 7pm. Ready, set, go, fail. Hopefully, I'll avoid step 4 this time.

My self-imposed cutoff is 9. There is a self-declared exemption for calorie-free foods.

i can't remember the last time i had dinner before 7pm. i usually eat around 9pm.
try it - eating later might keep you from snacking afterwards.

That's what I did last year whilst building the bbq. That did help, alot.
Now that teh wif is pregnant, she wants to eat as soon as I get home.
And then again latron. It sucks, because I am not pregnant, and therefore not eating for 2, like she is.
Instead of growing a baby, I'm just growing fat.

Key there is that you were doing stuff that caused you to delay dinner. Not so many projects around the house in the winter. Boredom = eating & watching cable

I've had some luck with this since late summer - lost 25+ lbs. I stayed under 1900 calories a day, exercise 3-4X per week. I have food and exercise diaries if you'd like to see ... the ratio of protien/carbs/fat is important ... so is the type of exercise.
One - I always build in a snack at 9:30 or 10:00 - something like an apple that really feels like you are eating something. I can't go to sleep hungry!
Two - I think any plan with "verboten" in it will build a ton of pressure. That's the stuff that makes me wig out and eat everything in sight.
Also, I discovered that if I do this right and get the ball rolling in the right direction (it takes two-three weeks) then I can have a day (24 hours) where I can eat whatever with no ill effect.
